What pride means to me, Gareth Hosgood

Pride for me is a celebration when the LGBT+ community come together to celebrate our freedoms and differences in an unapologetic fashion. It is a thank you to those who have created our freedoms today but also an important reminder that the job is not done with many not enjoying the same equality as I benefit from as a gay man in London. Discrimination in all forms holds us back and Pride is a small part of the equality fight.
Pride is who I am every day, it is not just a one month celebration. I am proud member of the LGBT+ community and being authentic in both my personal and work life has enabled me to create meaningful relationships – including meeting my now husband. Being proud and open has also enabled my career to flourish; I am proud to be a partner and hopefully a visible role model in the business and to stand up and say its ok to be different.
