GARETH’S ROLE

Gareth is a Partner in the Commercial Valuation team.  Gareth has extensive experience in carrying out valuations for loan security purposes for lenders, accounts’ valuations for funds holding U.K. assets and purchase reports for HNW/property companies/funds. Gareth is also experienced in undertaking valuations for tax, probate, matrimonial disputes and Charity Act purposes as well as Section 18 Dilapidation valuations. 

RELEVANT EXPERTISE / SPECIALISM

• value assets across most sectors from retail to industrial and residential to student accommodation throughout the U.K.
• this includes redevelopment sites, with a particular focus on schemes where a mixed use class is proposed.
• particular focus on the valuation of properties situated in central London, the South East, the M4 Corridor, the South West including South Wales.
• assisted in Expert Witness valuations including the largest negligence claim ever brought in the U.K.
• RICS APC Assessor and provides in house training to Graduate Surveyors.

EXPERIENCE

• Gareth has over 10 years' experience in the real estate sector, valuing properties across various sectors and regions in the UK.
• Working closely with our investment teams Gareth carries out individual and portfolio valuations of a range of assets from mixed use schemes to solely commercial properties including retail, leisure, office and industrial.

RECENT PROJECTS / ASSIGNMENTS 

• Acted as lead valuer for a south east portfolio with a market value of circa £180M for bank lending purposes.
• Provide annual Charity Act valuations of a large office building located in Midtown, London with a value of circa £70M
• Carried out a valuation of circa 15 mixed use retail and residential assets in Seven Sisters.
• Value a number of large city centre and out of town office buildings in Bristol for account purposes.
• Provided inheritance tax valuation for a terrace of industrial properties in London SE1
