With 70 years of auction experience between them, our Allsop Auctioneers discuss some of the drivers for buyers and sellers in this tricky market. With over 1500 lots sold in the first half of the year there are both highs and lows and some extraordinary prices achieved, which almost defines how hard it is to price stock.
The pool of buyers continues to expand – where do they come from and what are they competing the hardest for?
With some commercial examples we also review the revival of retail and how returns compare to other sectors and what buyers compete most for.
The second half of the year is hard to predict but we are anticipating an improving market in both the residential and commercial sectors – we discuss why.
