CHRIS’ ROLE

Chris is a Partner and Head of Planning at Allsop LLP. Based in our Head Office in London Chris advises on development projects nationwide.

EXPERIENCE

Chris joined Allsop LLP in April 2026. Prior to this he was previously a Director at Savills and has also worked at Boyer Planning. Chris specialises in mixed use urban regeneration across the living, tourism, employment, retail, leisure, energy, healthcare and community sectors. Chris also has significant expertise in negotiating development contributions for both local authorities and developers.

Chris provides strategic planning advice across the full development lifecycle, supporting investors, developers and landowners in maximising the potential of their assets.

Chris is a chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) and chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and has a Master’s in Town Planning at the University of Manchester.

RECENT PROJECTS

• Residential and alternative living sectors – has secured planning permission for several high profile residential led and alternative living sector projects including student, co-living and supported living facilities. 
• Permitted development – significant expertise in securing the change of use and extension of existing assets under permitted development rights and using this as a tool to unlock development potential.
• Estate Regeneration and Masterplan Redevelopment – led on a number of high profile estate regeneration proposals including the Merton Estates Regeneration for Clarion Housing Group, Avondale Estates for the London Borough of Hillingdon and Feltham Barracks for the Ministry of Defence.
• Energy and Data Centres – has significant expertise across the country.
• Green Belt Promotion - has successfully promoted and secured planning permission for several development sites.
