Build to Rent Partner, Andy Pointon completes Iron Man challenge
Build To Rent Partner and super fit, Andy Pointon, participated in the unbelievably tough Ironman event in Cork on Sunday 14th August and finished 117th out of 1200 starters. Absolutely incredible.
In 26 degree heat these were his times:
Swim 3.8 km: 1hr 5min
Bike 180 km: 6hr 18min
Marathon: 3hr 49min
Total: 11 hr and 28 mins
Modest but totally recovered by Tuesday, Andy said: “It was a struggle but really enjoyed the challenge. Could have done without the heat and the massive hill on the cycle ride but all in all was a great day. Thank you to everyone who has already donated to the fundraising page”
This really was a proper tough man challenge, anything you can add to his total would be much appreciated by him and by Action Kidney Cancer.
