Allsop releases May commercial auction catalogue with 130 lots

  • Allsop’s new catalogue features 130 lots across the UK, among which three shopping centres in Kidderminster, Huddersfield and Widnes
  • 20 lots are priced at £1m+ and 39 lots are located in London and the South East
  • The catalogue features two portfolios: 24 banks buildings let to Santander and 18 pharmacies predominantly let to Boots

Allsop has launched its May auction catalogue ahead of its third commercial auction of the year, taking place on 6th May online. The catalogue features 130 commercial properties with a combined annual income of £6.9m. With lot sizes of up to £3m, the new catalogue presents a range of options with a wide geographical spread, including in-demand mixed-use assets in London and the South East.

George Walker, partner and auctioneer at Allsop, said:

“We’ve started 2021 on a strong footing, raising £95m as a result of our February and March auctions. Our team is definitely seeing more confidence in and appetite for commercial property. Following the highly competitive and successful sale of West Orchards shopping centre in Coventry that set the tone for the year ahead, we’re pleased to present three more shopping centre investments to buyers. As the UK economy gradually re-opens, we’re expecting to see a lot of interest in this asset class, driven by a mix of long-term income, yield and value-add potential”.

Key highlights:

  • The largest lot of the auction is lot 32, Salisbury – a multi-let trade counter and office scheme comprising 26,785 sq ft, with total rents of £191,600 per annum and a vacant unit, guided at £2.9m – £3m (6.6% GIY)
  • Lot 39, Epsom – two shops and offices with prior approval for 10 flats and potential for more. Let at £155,400 per annum, this lot is guided at £2m+
  • Lot 33, a freehold shopping centre investment in Kidderminster, with 102,401 sq ft of retail space and a 370-space multi-storey car park, let at £815,000 per annum

The next online-only commercial property auction will take place on 6th May. The catalogue can be viewed here.
