Allsop releases 124-lot strong catalogue as it gears up for July commercial auction

  • Allsop releases July commercial auction catalogue featuring 124 lots, with 30% located in London or the South East
  • 29 lots have a guide price of £1m or above
  • Lot sizes range from £50,000 to £6m+, with the largest lot being a mixed-use building in Golders Green

Allsop, the UK’s leading property auction house, has released its latest commercial auction catalogue featuring 124 lots, of which 29 are guided at or above £1m. The catalogue includes a variety of investments, including gyms, pharmacies, industrial assets, shops, ground rent investments, and restaurants including the legendary Soho institution Bar Italia.

At its May commercial auction, Allsop raised £63m, reflecting a success rate of 90%. So far this year, 352 lots have been sold, with over £204 million raised, resulting in an overall success rate of 90%.

George Walker, Partner and Auctioneer at Allsop, said: “As we launch our next catalogue, the UK faces continuing upward pressure on interest rates which are yet to settle at a peak. Despite this uncertainty, we are still able to tap into our extensive base of reliable cash-rich private investors, who are always engaged and looking to invest for the long term."

“With lots ranging from one of London’s oldest coffee shops, Bar Italia, to a McDonald’s in Taunton and a multi-let industrial estate in Borehamwood, there will be ample options for every portfolio and risk appetite.”

Highlights include:

  • Lot 5 – An iconic ‘Bar Italia’ café in Soho, benefiting from a favourable trading licence, let at £175,000 p.a., guided at £2m+
  • Lot 16 – A mixed-use building in Golders Green, comprising 15,469 sq ft, with total rent of £351,420 p.a. plus vacant 2nd floor of 3,686 sq ft, guided at £6m+ - £320psft overall
  • Lot 19 – A multi-let industrial estate of 10,203 sq ft in Borehamwood, with total rent of £101,250 p.a., guided at £2.5m+
  • Lot 48 – A town-centre McDonalds’ in Taunton let at £113,500pa until 2028, guided at £1.4m-£1.5m
