Never too young campaign raises awareness of bowel cancer at all ages

When Sophia Sangchi was diagnosed with bowel cancer she committed herself to support other young people living with the disease and worked tirelessly to set up the ‘Never too Young’ project group whose mission is to increase awareness of the disease in the under 50’s.   Every year in the UK over 2,500 younger people are diagnosed with bowel cancer.  As well as giving younger patients a voice the campaign has brought about change in clinical practice and policy to stop people dying of bowel cancer under 50.

Sadly we lost Sophia to the disease a year ago.  She was just 32. A bright, funny and talented surveyor with a steely determination leaves behind an amazing legacy as the ‘Never too Young’ campaign is now finally launched to support and shine a light on young bowel cancer patients, who have been invisible for too long.   Allsop and all her family and friends are beyond proud of this awesome young woman.
