Allsop releases May commercial auction catalogue with 121 lots on offer

  • Allsop releases May commercial auction catalogue featuring 121 lots across the UK
  • 20 lots have a guide price of £1m or above
  • The largest lot is a multi-let office investment in Fleet, guided at £3.7m-£3.9m

Allsop, the UK’s leading property auction house, has released its latest commercial auction catalogue featuring 121 lots, of which 20 are guided at or above £1m. The catalogue includes a variety of investments, including retail parades, pharmacies, industrial assets, ground rent investments, and restaurants across the country, with 42 lots located in London and the South East.

At its March commercial auction, Allsop raised £60.6m, reflecting investors’ continuous appetite for well-priced commercial property assets.

Its latest single-vendor auction held on behalf of client William Hill achieved a success rate of 100%, with all 58 lots sold despite the tough market conditions.

George Walker, partner and auctioneer at Allsop, said: “Despite 2023 having been a challenging year we’ve successfully raised £137m from the sale of 256 lots, with an average success rate of 90%. As we’re about to hold our third auction in just three months, I’m pleased to confirm that we’re still seeing healthy levels of investor interest – there is an abundance of deal-hungry cash buyers constantly on the lookout for new opportunities.

“We look forward to welcoming seasoned buyers and newcomers to the virtual ballroom later this month to once again test the strength of the market together, in real time.”

Highlights include:

  • Lot 41 – a multi-let office of 24,347 sq ft in Fleet, let at £305,000pa, guided at £3.7m-£3.9m
  • Lot 43 – a Busy Bees day nursery in Bristol, let at £224,869pa until 2031, guided at £2.1m
  • Lot 18 – a multi-let shop and office of 3,165 sq ft in the City of London, guided at £3m+

Allsop’s next commercial auction will take place online on Wednesday 17th May; to view the full catalogue please click here.
