Allsop unveils largest residential auction catalogue since May 2019

  • Allsop’s February residential auction catalogue features 321 lots across the UK
  • 23 lots have guide prices of £1m or above
  • The largest lot of the catalogue comprises three office buildings with planning for conversion to 103 flats in Staines upon Thames and is guided at £15m+

Allsop has released its February residential auction catalogue offering 321 lots, 23 of which are guided at £1m or above. The latest residential catalogue, Allsop’s largest since May 2019, features a mix of investment and development opportunities across the UK, including houses and flats, ground rent investments, vacant sites and garages.

Richard Adamson, partner and auctioneer at Allsop, said:

“We look forward to our first residential auction of the year which will take place online only before we resume ballroom sales in March. The February auction will provide ample opportunities for investors, who will be able to choose something that fits their budget, risk profile and portfolio focus from over 300 lots across various geographical areas. Our first auction of 2023 will act as a barometer of investor sentiment, and we’re excited to see the outcome of our February sale.”

Last year, Allsop raised £372m from over 1,000 sales with an overall success rate of 80%, despite the challenging economic environment characterised by rising interest rates and inflation against the backdrop of a countrywide cost of living crisis.

Auction highlights include:

  • Lot 40: three office buildings with planning for conversion to 103 flats (under PDR) in Staines upon Thames, guided at £15m
  • Lot 54 – a partially completed mansion in Highgate with an indoor swimming pool and a spa, guided at £5.5-£6m
  • Lot 115 – a recently refurbished apartment block in Bradford, arranged to provide 31 self-contained flats, subject to a single lease to a housing association for 25 years, currently producing £403,000 p.a. guided at £3.1m
  • Lot 41 – a freehold HMO in Kensington, guided at £1.85m, with total current reserved rent of £121,842 per annum

Allsop’s next residential auction will be held online on 16th February 2023, and the complete catalogue can be viewed here.
