Allsop releases final auction catalogue of 2022 featuring 240 lots

  • Allsop’s December residential auction catalogue features 240 lots across the UK
  • 19 lots have guide prices of £1m or above
  • The largest lot of the catalogue is a freehold house and site occupying a prime location on Sandbanks, Dorset, guided at £5m+

Allsop has released its December residential auction catalogue offering 240 lots, 19 of which are guided at £1m or above.

The latest catalogue provides potential buyers with a wide variety of investment and development opportunities across the country, including a diverse mix of houses, apartments, freehold sites, and mixed-use schemes.

To date, Allsop has raised £300m from the sale of residential assets, with an average success rate of 85%, despite the economic headwinds exacerbated by the September mini-budget and rising interest rates.

Richard Adamson, partner and auctioneer at Allsop, said: “We are delighted to release our final catalogue of the year, which includes over 240 lots from across the country, offering a wide range of development and investment opportunities.

“We have undoubtedly seen some readjustment within the residential property market, which was to be expected given the overall state of the economy. Despite that, we continue to see a strong demand for well-priced assets and there has certainly been a bigger emphasis on quality and location, so we’re hoping for a busy final sale of the year as we’re approaching the Christmas break.”

Auction highlights include:

  • Lot 33: a freehold house and site with planning permission for a 9,189 sq. ft house occupying a prime location on Sandbanks with direct water frontage and unique views is guided at £5m+
  • Lot 53: a freehold mixed-use building arranged to provide four retail units, six self-contained one-bedroom flats and a 10-bedroom HMO in Hertfordshire, with total current rent reserved at £219,906 per annum, guided at £2.8m+
  • Lot 55: a leasehold self-contained 13th floor flat in Chelsea Harbour, providing three-bedroom accommodation and extending to approximately 2,030 sq. ft., guided at 1.8m+
  • Lot 100: a freehold apartment block comprising 41 self-contained two-bedroom flats in Halifax. The property includes 29 flats subject to assured shorthold tenancies and 12 flats sold off on long leases with the total current rent reserved at £185,400 per annum, guided at £1.6m+

Allsop’s next residential auction will be held online on 15th December 2022.
