ASSISTANT ASSET MANAGER –WEST END (Fulltime)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Assistant Asset Manager within the Asset Management team, who pro-actively manage a significant number of commercial property assets on behalf of a range of overseas private high-net worth and institutional clients.

The role will be focused on a broad range of large commercial property assets across London’s West End, Mid-Town and City, as well as further afield in the UK.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Working within a team we require a bright, driven and enthusiastic candidate who can pro-actively assist and take ownership of various roles across the expanding asset management portfolio:

  • Assisting in proactive asset management to preserve and enhance income returns via pre-let strategies, new lettings, lease re- gears, rent reviews, development, refurbishments, fit-outs / reconfigurations, change of use and strategic acquisition / disposals opportunities.
  • Assessment and implementation of ESG and sustainability credentials.
  • Take a lead role in the production of regular and frequent financial (revenue, op ex and cap ex) and client reporting.
  • Production of formal client recommendations requests.
  • Assisting in formulating, monitoring and updating business plans for individual assets / portfolio level reporting.
  • Supervise and motivate the property managers.
  • Helping to pro-actively manage lettings, rent reviews and lease renewal processes.
  • Attending regular leasing, project calls and regular site meetings to ensure continued performance, adopting a hands-on management approach.
  • Successfully maintaining strong commercial relationships.

MAIN CAPABILITIES

  • Degree educated, with an RICS accreditation – 1-3 yrs post qualified.
  • A strong, broad based experience within a client side / advisory role (investment, agency, management or valuation).
  • Demonstrates very good attention to detail, particularly in respect of regular client reporting.
  • Good knowledge and thorough understanding of commercial property and the different markets within, ideally with Central London experience.
  • Organised with a methodical approach with the ability to multi-task and manage their own time and work flow.
  • Inspires client respect and confidence.
  • A creative thinker, with a strong appetite to learn and grow into the role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to take ownership of the various models.
  • Exceptional written / verbal and presentational skills.

surveyor/senior surveyor - residential valuation (Fulltime)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB/S

A Surveyor and / or Senior Surveyor in the Residential Valuation department has a multi-disciplined role involved in valuing a range of asset classes across the UK, with a southern and London focus, for banks, property companies, funds.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out inspections and surveys
  • Corresponding with borrowers, banks and property companies providing a high level of service with the aim of gaining repeat business.
  • Researching the local market through speaking with local and national agents
  • Utilising valuation packages (Argus) to produce valuations.
  • Delivery of valuation reports in accordance with client instructions and RICS Valuation Standards.
  • Build successful business relationships with the aim of building a client base, with support, over time.
  • Attending meetings and client events

MAIN CAPABILITIES 

  • MRICS qualified
  • Prior valuation experience.

RESEARCH ANALYST – BUILD TO RENT TEAM (RESIDENTIAL TRANSACTIONAL & LIVING MARKETS) (Fulltime)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Allsop’s Build to Rent team, part of the Residential Transactional and Living Market services, is seeking to recruit a Research Analyst within its Leeds City Centre office.

The role of the Research Analyst will be to assist with the viability of Build to Rent schemes by gathering information, data entry and demographic analysis linked to the nuances of the micro-market to inform our bespoke consultancy and agency advice.

Build to Rent is large-scale property development designed with the sole intention of appealing to the rental market and the value of research and data analysis in the preparation of due diligence for a Build to Rent proposal is paramount.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilising databases to source data and demographic information
  • Cataloguing comparable evidence
  • Interrogation of a range of data to identify trends, and reporting findings to the team
  • Undertaking specific project requirements and assisting with appraising Build to Rent opportunities
  • Producing reports and recommendations based on inferences made from information
  • Maintaining internal databases
  • Attend meetings and site inspections as necessary

MAIN CAPABILITIES

  • A relevant degree that need not be property related, may suit a Geography or Data Science graduate or similar, but with an interest in pursuing a career in property
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills including competence with MS Excel and data handling
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to assist with report writing
  • Manages own time effectively and can work to deadlines
  • Demonstrates good attention to detail and accuracy in handling data
