In a bid to promote the skills of the rostrum to the younger members of the property profession, the competition is open to all members of RICS matrics aged 35 and under, especially those with no previous auctioneering experience.

Regional heats will take place across the UK where contestants will compete to qualify for a place in the semi finals to be held on the 12th November.

The final, on Wednesday 16th November will be held at the RICS HQ, Parliament Sq, where a judging panel of high profile property auctioneers  will decide in front of a packed audience who will take home the Allsop Trophy .

Everyone is welcome to come along to see how the contestants’ nerves hold out and which of them will receive the coveted title of  the RICS Matrics Auction Competition Winner 2011.

This competition has been running since 1975 and many of its winners (and runners up) have gone on to enjoy a long career in property auctioneering.
