James joined Allsop in 2005 as a Partner in the City Business Team. James specialises in development and leasing, working with both Landlords and Tenants. Prior to Allsop, James began his career in 1996 at Weatherall Green & Smith (now BNP Paribas) before moving to Insignia Richard Ellis (CBRE) in 2001. James has provided strategic advice on UK property issues to a number of major corporates, and now concentrates on the London City Market, Midtown Southbank and Canary Wharf. Notable corporate client work has included the relocation of the London Stock Exchange to 10 Paternoster Square (230,000 sq ft), Catlin Insurance to 20 Gracechurch Street (125,000 sq ft) and the disposal of the LUC (250,000 sq ft), 3 Minster Court (75,000 sq ft) and the relocation of UHY Hacker Young to Thomas Moore Square (30,000 sq ft). James has also been involved with major development schemes such as Palestra (280,000 sq ft) for Royal London and Blackfriars Investments, 150 Cheapside for St Motus Property Cooperation (80,000 sq ft), 12 Arthur
